Close your eyes and you're standing in resin-scented air — fir and spruce and cedar rising off sun-warmed bark, the kind of cold, clean mountain smell that clings to your hands long after you've washed them. That's the smell we bottled into this bar.
Deep in the Gila Mountains, piñon trees weep a slow, honey-thick sap wherever a branch has broken or the bark has split — nature's own scar tissue, fragrant and amber-gold. We gather it by hand, the way it's always been gathered, then let it disappear into a vat of olive oil for at least a full year — sometimes longer. Not weeks. Not months. A full turn of the seasons and then some, quietly steeping, until the oil itself smells like a forest after rain.
That patience is the whole point. Most soap is scented in an afternoon. This one is scented by time.
- At least a year of infusion — piñon resin steeps in olive oil for a full year or longer before it ever touches a soap pot, so the scent runs all the way through the bar, not just on the surface
- Wild-harvested, not farmed — resin collected by hand from naturally weeping piñon in the Gila Mountains
- Fir, spruce & cedar essential oil blend — crisp, resinous, unmistakably mountain
- A rich, nourishing lather from coconut, palm, olive (piñon-infused), karanja, castor & babassu oils
- Finished with tussah silk for a lather that glides
